Although it’s a Lions home game on Sunday, many Steeler Fans’ may choose to take the 4 hour drive North. This could turn into a Steelers home game, representing Steeler nation. Detroit has improved on last season, naturally because they were winless last year and already have a win this year. With that being said they have plenty of work to do. QB Matthew Stafford has had some struggles expected of a rookie(editors note: Due to injury Stafford may not get the start this week) however second year running back Kevin Smith has been impressive. Ex-Steeler Larry Foote was singed by his hometown Detroit Lions in the off-season is expected to have an impressive game against his old squad.
I do not this this game will be close. The Steeler offense has been clicking on all cylinders and with the potential return of Troy Polamalu on defense this game could get ugly. Pittsburgh loves playing in Detroit, as the won Super Bowl Xl in the legendary farewell to Jermoe Bettis game. Willie Parker had a huge Super Bowl Sunday that year in Detroit, could he duplicate that performance? Or will the young Rashard Mendenhall shine like he did last week against the Chargers. With nothing more than some young talent, Detroit in the re-building mode and should stick to being “hockey town”(Even though Pittsburgh is the reigning Champs) right now. This should be a good game for those Steeler fantasy owners. Big game for the Black and Gold….

Prediction: Steelers 31 Lions 10

Too much fire power for the Lions to handle on defense, now that Pittsburgh has shifted it's offense to thow to open up the run. I have Mendenhall on my fantasy team, I hope he puts up huge numbers
