November 14th and 15th College and NFL Picks

The Guru is still lights out for the pros this year with a record of 18-13.After last weeks performance which was ‘fuego” as the say in Spanish speaking parts of the world, is creeping closer to the black in the college game with a record of 15-16-1.

College Games

West Virginia vs. Cincinnati
The Bear Cats are still ranked high in the nation, but have not been playing the same kind of ball as they were in the beginning of the year. Their offense is still playing lights out even with starter Tony Pike missing the last 3 games with a banged up forearm. The concern is on Defense. Last week they played UCONN who can run the rock( just like West Virginia ) and gave up 45 points. Now do the Bearcats lose this week? No, I don’t think so, but 10 points is a lot to give to West Virginia who basically had a bye last week playing Louisville.

Tennessee +7 vs. Mississippi
Ok so the jail break hit Vols country this week and the spread in the game went from +2 to +7 in a matter of minutes. This still doesn’t change the fact that Mississippi has a hard time scoring, especially against good defenses like the Vols have. In fact Ole Miss has only scored over twenty points once this year against the SEC, and that was 23 points vs. Vanderbilt. Just hold on one cotton pickin second… has Tennessee found an offense? 56 points against Memphis last week, and 31 points versus South Carolina the week before. Not to mention in the last 10 meetings the Vols have won them all.

Mississippi St vs. Alabama
Mississippi St has not played a game since Halloween, Alabama has been in dog fights since early October. This would be classified as the ultimate trap game. Mississippi States D will keep it close preventing Alabama to score freely. Did I also mention Miss St is at home getting the 12.5?

Pro’s
J-E-T-S -7 vs. Jaguars
I am not a big believer in Jacksonville at all. The Jets do have some question marks, most of them at the Quarterback position. Sanchez has showed signs of brilliance early in the season, and not so hot recently. With that being said he has had 2 weeks to prepare for the game, and Coach Ryan has had 2 weeks to break down Jacksonville’s anemic offense.

Falcons -1.5 vs. Panthers
I can’t imagine the Falcons losing this game. They are better on offense, defense and on special teams. Plus my sister who just broke her arm throws better the Jake Delhome. Take the Falcons.

Green Bay +3 vs. Cowboys
I love home dogs especially when they have a good team. The Cowboys have been hot as of late. Tony Romo has looked good but they do tend to fall apart in November, and what a better time to fall apart this year against a desperate Green Bay team who just lost to the pathetic Bucs last week. Green Bay wins outright in a surprise to some, but not to the Guru.
