Start ‘em or Sit ‘em

This week presents problems for some top-tier running back owners. Brian Westbrook is out this week, and the rest of his season is in question, after multiple concussions this season. Cedric Benson is doubtful for the Bengals, and Michael Turner is questionable or at best limited this week. My starts this week should help fantasy owners with depth problems. And Ronnie Brown has just announced he is out for the season.

Start ‘em:

LeSean McCoy (Eagles)

Due to Westbrook’s injuries throughout the season, McCoy is the leading rusher for the Eagles this season. He has a 4.1 yards-per-rush average rushing this season. His rush yards are complimented by 181 receiving yards. He is facing an average Bears defense that has given up almost a touchdown per game. They rank 21st in yards given up per game.

Ricky Williams (Miami)

After a tumultuous career, Williams has proven his fantasy worth this season in the occasionally high-powered Miami offense. He has a 5.3 yard rush average and 21+ average receiving yards per game. Williams has only one less touchdown this season than Ronnie Brown had this season with Williams having7 tds. The Dolphins are facing a Carolina Panther team that is ranked in the bottom of the league in total yards per game allowed and 5th worst in yards per carry.

Todd Heap (Baltimore)

At the beginning of the season, Todd Heap was an early draft choice for tight ends, but he has struggled the last few weeks. He was held under 30 yards in 2 of the last 4 games and only 2 touchdowns the entire season. Joe Flacco isn’t helping Heap out at all, with only 1 passing touchdown in the last 3 games. The Ravens are a middle-of-the-pack defense, but they have only allowed 7 passing touchdowns in the whole season.

Santana Moss (Washington)

Santana Moss has hurt himself more than helping raise his stock. He has only managed 1 100+receiving game this year and only 2 touchdowns the entire season. Even as a second of flex receiver, he is only worth about 3 fantasy points per game. He has the most receptions on the team, but it only 6 less than Antwaan Randle El. The Redskins’ anemic offense makes it hard for any fantasy owner to start, or even own a Redskin this year, especially since Cooley is out.

EDITORS NOTE-THIS WAS SUBMITTED BEFORE THE MIAMI GAME LAST NIGHT, HOWEVER I WAS UNABLE TO POST IT. BTW NICE CALL ON RICKY
