NFL picks for October 18th

11-8 so far on the year with the Pro’s and we are looking to add to the winning column big. This is probably the best week of football so far this year with plenty of big games.

Atlanta(-3.5) vs. Bears
Bears coming off a bye is a concern for me in this game, but that is about the only concern. Atlanta matches up very well against the Bears. Atlanta will struggle against great passing teams and the Bears are far from a great passing team. After what the Falcons did last week against a supposedly great defense against the 49ers, we might be seeing Matt Ryan and boys becoming one of the NFL’s elite offenses. Take Hotlanta and give the points.

Texans(5.5) vs. Bengals
We’ll I said last week the Bengals are still the same old Bengals until they win 2 games in a row against big time opponents. Cincinnati got the win and these may not be the same old Bengals but they will not cover the 5.5 points against the Texans this week. It’s tuff to get up two games in a row, but even tougher to do it three in a row, so I expect a bit of a let down as Houston covers.

Patriots(-9.5) vs. Titans
The Titans have been the surprise team of the year in the NFL. Their secondary has turned into complete garbage and that is not good when Tom Brady and the pass happy Patriots come to town. This is also the third road game in a row for the Titans so say hello to 0-6 Titan fans. It’s going to be a long season for you guys.
